Can’t Spell Life Without LI- Why Long Island is the greatest place to call home!

Between New York City, one of the most popular cities in the world, and Montauk Point is 118 miles of the home we love. Long Island is filled with families who have been here for generations and every day brings tourists in from all over the world. To the north of the island is the Long Island Sound, which separates us from the coast of Connecticut and Rhode Island. To the south is the Great South Bay, as we are protected from the Atlantic Ocean by the beautiful beaches of Fire Island. You can find Ooh La La on Fire Island at 621 Bayberry Walk, Ocean Beach.

You could say we have it all! Delicious places to eat are scattered all over the island. One of our favorites is Long Island SoBol, right across the street from our Sayville location. Here you can find the famous acai bowls people go crazy for. The blended Brazilian fruit is layered with various fresh fruit and granola, pretty and nutritious!

One of the best parts of the island is opportunity to shop local and support small businesses. One of our favorites is Island Strong, a company specifically created to celebrate all the great aspects of living on Long Island. For every piece of merchandise sold, a portion goes to a Long Island charity. We love them so much we carry some of their amazing products- check out some of our new favorites below!

Beautiful landmarks to visit are all around! You can see a concert at Jones Beach Theater, enjoy wine tasting at some of the best vineyards or visit the famous Montauk Point Lighthouse. Just because this lighthouse is the oldest in New York State, doesn’t mean it is anything short of beautiful!

There’s so much Long Island has to offer! It is safe to say there is no other place quite like it. Show off your Long Island pride in some of our new items below from “Our Home” collection.
