Oscars Best Dressed : Through The Years

With the Oscars upon us, we thought it'd be fun to make a round-up of some of the best dressed stars in the history of The Academy Awards. Get ready to gush over these gowns. We can't wait to see the fashion this year, and of course, to see who wins! #teamleo

Audrey Hepburn, in 1954 wore a very detailed, floral-embossed cream Givenchy gown. We love that she paired her cinched, classic dress with a super short hairstyle and minimal makeup.

Sharon Stone, in 1998 proved style is about originality when she styled her husband’s oxford shirt with a Vera Wang evening skirt. Gosh, I love her!

Julia Roberts, in 2001 brought back Old Hollywood glamour in this black-and-white Vintage Valentino dress.

Charlize Theron, in 2004 looked like a goddess in this slinky, beaded, backless number by Gucci. Her sun-kissed glow was the icing on the cake for this gorgeous red carpet look.

Hilary Swank, in 2005 showed off her flawless body in a backless navy blue dress by Guy Laroche. She definitely owned the well-known conservative in the front, daring in the back trend!

Michelle Williams, in 2006 made a bold move, choosing a mustard-hued gown by Vera Wang.  She paired the look with bright red lipstick to complete this unforgettable ensemble.

Nicole Kidman, in 2007, wore a Balenciaga fire-engine red gown with an oversized bow at the neck.  This iconic look was an elegant and eye-catching choice.

Gwyneth Paltrow, in 2012 was a vision in this all-white Tom Ford ensemble, cape and all. This gown is breathtaking!

Octavia Spencer, in 2012 looked like a true movie star in this Tadashi Shoji embellished cinched gown. She won her first Oscar this night too!

Lupita Nyong’o, in 2014, made her big debut in a pale blue custom-made Prada gown with Fred Leighton headband and jewelry. She looked absolutely stunning!
