If you havn't made your Valentine's Day reservations just yet, don't FRET! Whether you're celebrating with your hubby, or making a girls night of it. I have mapped out 4 great places close by our perfectly located stores! This way you can shop while you wait for your table. I have all the places mapped out for you so picking will be easy. Not only are these places close to us, but they're some of the best eating spots on Long Island. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!
If you're in Long Beach for the evening:
John Henry's American Pub: 150 East Park Ave. 516-897-9551
This place has become one of our favorites in Long Beach. They have great burgers along with traditional pub food. The decor inside is a nice vintage feel. I haven't tasted one thing yet from here that I didn't like. It's not loud at all so you'll be able to cozy up with your Valentine. Best part, it's about three stores down from Ooh La La Long Beach.
Nagahama Sushi: 169 Eat Park Ave 516-432-6446
Nagahama isn't just known for the best sushi in Long Beach, it's by far one of the top sushi places on Long Island. With high ratings on Urban Spoon, the Zagat, and other local blogs you simply can not go wrong with this place. Prices are a tad high but heck! its an occasion! The sushi is so fresh, the Oyster Cocktail is amazing as well as the Tuna Tataki. Pick a bunch of rolls with whoever you may be celebrating with and FEAST! Right across the street from Ooh La La.
If you're in Babylon this evening:
Barrique Kitchen and Wine Bar: 69 Deer Park Ave 631-321-1175
One of my absolute favorite places on Long Island! Just a walk down the block from our Ooh La La Babylon Location you'll find this fabulous place to eat or just grab a drink. The whole menu is about sharing! The small plate menu gives you the opportunity to try a little of everything. The food as a rustic feel, with artisanal cheeses, cured meats, thin crust pizza, and mini deserts. You have 150 different wines to choose from with no bottle over 100$, and trust me they're all great! It does get a bit loud in here, but the place is so beautiful and fun you won't mind!
Post Office Cafe: 130 W. Main St. 631-669-9224
The Post Office is 1 of 7 restaurants on Long Island owned by Lessings. This place is greatly priced for family dining tonight. They have a kids menu and all! It's a pretty decent size as well so the wait shouldn't be too bad. The menu has a wide variety from apps, soups, salads, to even tacos! There is a beer menu for dad as well.
Osteria da Nino: 292 Main St. 631-425-0820
Although I have not been here myself it has always been a place in Huntington I've wanted to try. With a true italian menu, seriously the menu is in italian, you will leave with great tastes! The chef/ owner Nino Antuzzi has a made from scratch mentality so everything you eat is promised to be nothing but the freshest. His menu is made from his families recipes which I think is so personal for a chef to share. All of the wine is hand selected from small production vineyards as well. Only down the block from our Huntington Village location. I suggest shopping before you eat!
Oaxaca: 385 New York Ave. 631-547-1232
Authentic and affordable is Oaxacas motto. This establishment has been going strong since 1994! They've been ranked top 10 in Long Island by Newsday and bragged about by Zagat. This place is packed on a Friday or Saturday night so I'm sure tonight will be no different. It's worth the wait though, you will taste some of the best mexican of your life.
If your in Sayville:
Aegean Cafe: 35 Main St. 631-589-5529
One thing about the Greeks... They love to host! Aegean takes pride in their hospitality to their patrons with the best service. The service is amazing, but the food is indeed even better. This place is all about making you feel at home. I've been here for lunch a few times, but never for dinner. It's all traditional greek. Right in the heart of Sayville's village and down the block and accross the street from Ooh La La Sayville.
Crickets: 98 Main St 631-567-6345
Right next to our Sayville store Crickets is the ultimate family dining restaurant. A great draft selection for dad, along with whatever sports games are going on, and a childrens menu for the kids. There's something here for everyone with the American style menu. The prices are great. We welcome all moms to drop the family off here and you come shop while you wait to be seated!
