Unless you've been living under a rock, you have seen Amy Schumer somewhere in the last few months.
From TV to stand up, magazine covers and now movies this funny girl is absolutely KILLING IT! And did
you know she's also a local girl? Amy went to South Side High School in Rockville Centre where she was
voted Class Clown and Teacher's Worst Nightmare for the Class of 1999! lol.
Trainwreck, written by Amy and directed by Judd Apatow, comes out tomorrow and I couldn't be more
excited! Check out the trailer here:
She's also on this month's cover of Glamour magazine. Watch the video below to find out what she was
REALLY thinking during the shoot:
The real reason we love Amy though is that she's unafraid to be who she is and wants to help other women
do the same. From her Glamour interview: "I want to make women laugh. I want to make them feel beautiful
in their own skin. I want to empower them to use their voice and not apologize. And I want a jet."
For more awesomeness, just Google "Amy Schumer Glamour Speech" and see what she had to say when
accepting her Trailblazer of the Year Award. We'd put it here, but it's sliiiiiightly NSFW. It is Amy Schumer after
all, and the woman just doesn't hold back! As she said herself, "I am a woman with thoughts and questions and
sh*t to say." Go, Amy, go!
Who else loves Amy Schumer and her unapologetic, "this is me" attitude?
