Tune In Tuesday: Favorite Covers

Cover songs are tricky. Unless you can make it amazing, why bother?
These are five iconic songs that I think were done justice by the artist covering them.
Watch out boys, these ladies know how to breathe new life into some classic songs.

It takes guts to cover the most famous band in the world, The Beatles,
but this cover by Yuna is such a sweet, beachy version of their classic "Here Comes the Sun".
Love it! Will be playing it all summer long.

If there was ever a "supergroup" it's the Traveling Wilburys. Made up of Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne & George Harrison,
there's a lot of talent going on in this one song. It's one of my favorite ever, but Jenny Lewis gives it a faster tempo and an upbeat twist
featuring featuring Ben Gibbard, Conor Oberst and M. Ward.

Chan Marshall takes this already lovely 1950's classic and makes it hauntingly beautiful. One of my favorite covers ever.

The Bangles take on Simon & Garfunkel's "Hazy Shade of Winter" is pure 80's awesomeness.
If you've ever seen the opening scene of the movie "Less Than Zero" (featured in the video), you know what I'm talking about.

Who doesn't love Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground?
Even so, this cover of "Sweet Jane" by The Cowboy Junkies is just as good as, if not better than, the original.
