Winter Beauty Tips

Although bundling up in the freezing temperatures this winter is the only thing that comes to mind, there are beauty tips to try to help with the wrath of the cold weather on us, ladies.

Nails: Just because it’s cold and your skin is dry doesn't mean you have to stop getting your regular mani/pedi. The way we moisturize our skin is great for our nails to because they tend to break and crack easily in the winter so try to moisturize your hand cream into your nails and nail beds. When getting your mani/pedi try some of these fabulous winter colors:

Rich Red - Chanel Lotus RougeDeep Cherry/Black - OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest or Russian NavyNude - Dior Sparkling Nail PowdersRose Gold - Essie A Cut AboveGlitter - Deborah Lippmann Shake Your Money Maker

Hydrate: It is crucial to keep ourselves and our skin super hydrated inside and out during the winter months. Make sure to drink plenty of water, or teas if you to get your daily H2O intake and to flush out any toxins in your system. One great tip is to also use a humidifier in your home to get some moisture which can help your skin from becoming a reptile and also to help with that sinus pain in this frigid weather. Bottom line: drink up ladies!

Eat: Add some color to your plate! There are some foods that can help your skin glow from the inside out. Try and stick to oily fish like salmon and tuna, spinach, avocados, tomatoes and citrus fruits (hello vitamin C). When snacking although sweets do sound delish, try some seeds and/or nuts…okay you can also have one or two pieces of chocolate.

Skin: It is evident, winter dries out your skin like crazy so moisturizing, and moisturizing a lot is the only way to survive. Here are a few great lotions to try:

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator, Philosophy Hope In a Jar Moisturizer,
Neutrogena Oil-Free SPF 35, Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense SPF 50, Aveeno Positively Radiant SPF 30

Hair: The cold weather does a number on our hair as well, it can cause dryness, lack of moisture, split ends, aye! Try to get a trim regularly, try one of those treatments sold at your local pharmacy that add moisture to your hair, or try a hot oil treatment. Blow dry on a medium setting as often as you can, going out with wet hair is a big no no. Also, if you really don’t know what to do with your hair, there are always winter hats and accessories. Phew! Shop some cute styles at Ooh la la.

We can beat this cold, damaging weather ladies!
